We will begin our evening with a beautiful 2004 vintage traditional method extra brut sparkling wine from Hidden Bench.

Therianthropy wines have not yet made their way to Windsor. We are the debut audience.

This will be sure to be a sparkling and shiny event with mirth and merriment and all the trimmings.

It’s our annual OWS sponsored WIFF event!

Join us in the Joy room at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Windsor at 6:15 pm (note the time), where we’ll start with a little reception soirée event.

Beginning with sparkling (as one should) we’ll be meeting and mingling and enjoying a large assortment of passed appetizers created by Julie Myers and her team at Thyme Kitchen.

In keeping with the theme of our sponsored film, “Sugar and Stars,” our wines will be French.

We will have a red and a white to taste and enjoy as well.

Please do not bring your tasting glasses; we will be providing approved (plastic) glassware.

September already, it’s time for the start of the OWS event season!

Join us on Monday, September 25 at 7 pm for a fun-filled interactive party downtown!

Brew master Jason Barsotta and the team at Craft Heads Brewing company have a very exciting line-up of craft beers and food pairings.

We’re going to be having a bit of a downtown cruise in the comfort of the Craft Heads space. We will be enjoying specially selected fare from restaurants Terra Cotta, Marathon Ethiopian, Shawarma Palace and Frenchy’s Poutinery.

There will be a good mix up of vegetarian and non-vegetarian fare. No special requests please. Each restaurant is doing something special for us, and we are very grateful a few are doing this during their closed business day.

Jason and his team will be selecting from their extensive craft beer arsenal with optimal pairing delights.

This will be casual, fun, and very filling.

Please bring your tasting glasses!

We will also be welcome to take a peek at the actual brewing facilities next door, and taste some of the not yet released brews.

Purchase of extra pints of beer, maybe a craft cocktail (yes, there are those too!), and local wine is also optional as the evening unfolds, if you are so inclined.

This is the culmination of our membership renewal time period.
All members in good standing are cordially invited to join us for some wine and pizza at the beautiful outdoor pavilion of Muscedere winery.

Pat (mama) Muscedere, chef extraordinaire, will be cooking us up 4 different varieties of pizza.

The Muscedere team will ensure no one goes hungry. While there will be enough for everyone, this is not an “all you can eat” event.

The pizza is being purchased by the OWS, in appreciation to us all for being such wonderful members.

Melissa Muscedere will make sure we have choices of wine by the glass and by the bottle to purchase. Pricing will be OWS friendly.

And, of course, you are welcome to purchase (unopened) wine to take along with you.

Wine, food and film, we’re back!!

Join us on TUESDAY, November 1st, 2022 at 6 pm. in the JOY ROOM of the Capitol Theatre for a wine and passed appetiser reception.

The format for this event, including the day, a TUESDAY, will be different from typical events.

We have a wine and appetiser reception scheduled from 6pm to 7:30pm in the Joy room. We will start with sparkling wine, and a personal bag of chips.

We will have a set number of appetisers, NOT all you can eat, which will be passed. We will enjoy a glass each of red and white wine, theme curated by Darlene Emberley of Dandurand Agency.

We will exit the Joy room to head to the Kelly theatre, in the Capitol Theatre, to enjoy “Blind Ambition”, a wine themed film that will be inspirational to all of us.

Ticket pricing includes reception and price of theatre admission. No need to bring tasting glasses.

Join us at the Wiser Brand Centre for a fun and interactive learning and tasting experience with Master Blender Dr. Don Livermore. We will be tasting whiskies at this event.

We will be starting the evening with an Ontario sparkling wine from Foreign Affair winery, part of the Pernod Ricard portfolio of brands.
